Elk Meadow Veterinarians in Evergreen, Colorado

Cristie Kutz:

After studying Civil Engineering at Duke University, Cristie changed career paths to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2002. After obtaining her degree, Cristie completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the teaching hospital. Moving into private practice, she worked in St. Paul as a small animal emergency veterinarian. Cristie and Jason moved to the Denver area in 2004. She has been happy to have the opportunity to work with specialists at VRCC and the Boulder and Northside Emergency Pet Clinics. Over the course of her career, Cristie has developed interests in small animal medicine, pain management, and dentistry. Cristie has completed continuing education courses in small animal dentistry.

In her free time Cristie enjoys spending time with their daughter, Sophie. She loves the Colorado wilderness and spends as much time as possible hiking, biking, and camping. Cristie and Jason share their home with four dogs (Buddy, Juno, Roxy, and Foo) and two cats (Chewy and Ed).

Jason Kutz:

Jason has been practicing veterinary medicine for 12 years. Jason attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, he worked as a small animal veterinarian in suburban Minnesota, pursuing his interests in small animal medicine and surgery. In 2002, Jason accepted a position as an associate in a small animal emergency clinic in the Twin Cities. Upon moving to Colorado in 2004, Jason continued working in the emergency field. He has worked for the Flatirons Veterinary Specialists and later the Aspen Meadows Veterinary Specialists. Working closely with specialists has provided Jason with a unique opportunity to continue his education and explore advanced diagnostics and treatments. Jason has completed his certification for canine rehabilitation, a new and exciting field. Jason’s interests include surgery (soft tissue and orthopedic), rehabilitation, and dermatology.

In his free time Jason enjoys chasing after Sophie, their toddler daughter. He also likes to find time to mountain bike and snow board. As often as he can Jason escapes to the canyon country of Utah for some rest and relaxation.

Jason and Cristie are veterinarians committed to the health and well being of your pets in the Evergreen Mountain Community.  They provide a full service veterinarian hospital near King Soopers, in Bergen Village.  Some of their specialties include canine rehabilitation, pet dentistry and surgery.

Dr. Jason and Dr.  Cristie recently attended a veterinary conference in San Francisco.  They had a great time and learned a lot.  The fog was a little too much, they prefer being home and practicing in their Bergen Park veterinary hospital.
